Butt who moved to town a month ago. About 80 people of various sizes and ages gathered in the church basement on Friday evening for this occasion. Morley Bruce acted as M.C. for the program which started sensibly enough with a piano solo by Calvin Nicholls and a reading by Mrs, Bart. Then came the childrens' contests conducted by Mrs. K. Short and Mrs. Cookson, when the youngsters sat on ballons and dropped clothes-pins and passed life- savers. The highlight of the evening was the so-called fashion show staged by the younger married, the soon-to- be-married and three old tro- Seagrave identity of a local woman and the women dressed as men. Whether the costumes or the imitations were the more fun is hard to say. One thing for certain is that we have a lot of clown talent going to waste around here. Maureen Tobin dressed as a minister was the commentator and her mother impersonating Bill Barr furn- ished the music. To conclude the nonsense Neil Wanamaker and Bruce Carr who called themselves Marion Short and Jessie Nobbs sang a funny duet of advice and warning to the Butts, Other performers were Ken Sturman, Donna Wanamaker, Murdoch and Enid Blair, Judy Carr, Cliff, Jack and Sharyn Short and Morley Bruce.
