225 § Art A SE © Port Perry Council News| Minutes of Regular Meet- ing of Council of the Village of Port Perry held in the Municipal Office on Tuesday, March 11th, Councillor Joseoh Podres reported on progress at the Board Wharf, Councillor P. W. Orde re- ported that he has been keep: ing a check on the work at the Board Wharf and that the deck has been removed and favourable progress is being made. _ Councillor P. W. Orde, as Chairman of the Works De- partment, reported that he would recommend to Coun. cil the frading of the half' ton Dodge truck and obtain-, ing a new ohe ton truck which would suit the Village requirements better. Council seemed in favour of this change and the Clerk was instructed' to make pro- vision for it in the 1969 bud- get. Deputy-Reeve, Bruce Beare reported that Councillor J. Podres is working on an es- timated cost of a proposed addition to the Village Fire Hall and should have some figures for the next regular meeting. Councillor Kenneth F. Jackson reported on the Arena Board having leased the Arena to the Chamber of Comerce for the Home Show at a cost of $100.00 per night with the understanding that -the material purchased last year for the booths could be used again this year. Mr. William Wozney ap- peared at Council meeting to state that he would like to use his lot on 203 Water St. as a Service Shop, or a Re- tail shop. It was decided that-if the lot was rezoned for the said purpose it should come un- der C2 and it was left for the matter to be brought be- fore the Planning Board and application be made in the proper way. Mr. Wozney yeportad that he wished to build a two storey house 21' x 32' on Lot 3, Plan 712, Lilla Street. It was explained to Mr. Wozney that according to the Zoning By-Law, the minimum ground floer area in that subdivision is 1100 sq. ft. and | that his application for a Building Permit would have __to meet with the By-Law re. 'quirements. Mr. Edward Griffen attend- ed Council meeting and made a number of inquiries, some of a personal nature and "others én behalf of the Port| |: Perry Chamber of Commerce. Will the Town supply wat- er for out-of-town subdivi- sions? Mr. Griffen was informed that a number of requests have been made by subdi- viders out-of-town and that Council is waiting for a writ- ten report from the Ontario Water Resources Commission. Is there any way we can get the sand off Queen St.? It was explained that Coun- cil is waiting for suitable weather as some of the <and in question is still frozen. It was felt by Council that this project could be possible on a shared basis. Is there any action being taken on an Official Plan for the Village of Port Perry?
