About 1:30 President Mrs. Roy McLaughlin opened the General meeting with appro- priate quotations and after welcoming all called on Mrs. Ralph Larmer who gave a very interesting and timely worship from the theme "God is Reaching Out at Easter". Following the of- feratory prayer Mrs. Harold Kyte with Mrs. Lorne Thompson at the piano led a hymn sing. Mrs. McLaughlin read "A Thought for Every Day" and conducted considerable busi- ness after which Unit lead- ers Teported their meetings. Mrs, Walter Wright gave a reading "As Lent Approach- es". Mrs. P. Romeril and Mrs. George Skelding pre- sented the playlette "Two in a Box". Mrs. John Car- naghan made a brief, fitting congratulatory speech and presented the President with a Silver Wedding card sign- ed by all present. Meeting closed with prayer. The Women's Institute Ba- zaar came off quite well on Wednesday night consider- ing the very story weather and slippery roads. Natur- ally the attendance wasn't as large as usual but all appeared to enjoy themsel- ves.
