In a game played March 25th Don Hurst's boys won that game 2-1 and thus advanced into finals, Sat., March 29th saw "all teams - playing their first game in the house league finals, Hurst & Club Annrene fought to a thrilling 4 - 4 tie. Goulding opened the scoring for Hurst only to have J. Neil tie it up. Had- ley put Hurst in front again only to have Hartin tie the score again. After 7 seconds of the first overtime period Brian Campbell scored and the Annrene Bruins went ahead; 53 seconds later Hurst's player Jarvis tied the score again. At 2:05 of the second overtime period Van Weston scored again putting Bruins ahead but at 3:30 Kevin Hadley scored his 2nd goal of the game which ended 4 - 4. BANTAM action saw Cart- wright edge Le Forte's team 2-1 in a fast hard skating game. Wright & Rod Camp- bell scored for Cartwright. Leahy scored the only goal for Le Forte. : In TYKE Finals Franssen won 3-0 over Wilbur. T. Kane, Franssen & J. Kane scored for the winners. overtime period's will be played in place of a third game and if needed sudden death overtime will be played after' that to declare league champions. . House players will receive their crests and also at 2:20 p.m. the Gary Jackson Tro- phy award will be made. This award will be made each year to the player in Port Perry Minor Hockey who shows the most sports- manship and ability in the game of hockey as well as conduct on and off the ice. This beautiful Trophy is on display at the arena and was given in Memory of the late Gary Jackson who was a player of the Port Perry Minor Hockey Assoc., by his father and mother, Mr. and 'Mrs. Ken Jackson. The Hawe's Bros. Trophy for the playoff scoring lead- er will also be presented, FRI, APRIL 4th -- Tyke Tournament Hockey. = Fans will be treated to a dazzling display of future hockey talent as the Tyke's (age 6 and 7 yrs.). The main at- traction of this dance was the kissing booth which fea- tured 'a few teachers as well as students, Records were played by Bob "Otis" De- Shane and all who attended the dance had a good time. On Saturday, March 29, the members of the Girl's Gymnastics Club went to Bayview, Toronto where they took part in the competitions there.
