There were 52 in attendance. One. of the highlights in the afternoon was the Crosier Family Tree booklet" especi- ally prepared' by Mrs. G. Samells which wag available for those who wished one. During the remainder. of the afternoon the sports com- mittee planned a fine pro- gram in which both the young and old participated. Everyone sat down to en- joy a picnic supper at the conclusion of which the busi- ness period followed: The election of officers were as follows: . . President-- Mr. Bob Short, Toronto. Vice-President-- Mr. Ray Munro, P. Perry Sec. Treas.--Mrs. Len Somerville, Seagrave Sports Committee-- Mr. P. Crosier, Toronto Mr. G. Crosier, Ajax It was decided that the 1970 reunion be held on June 20, 1970 again at the Stouff- ville_-Memorial Park. Following the business the happy reunion drew to a close. Southern Ontario County Fastball League, Don Carneg- je Men's Wear has compiled an impressive win - lose record 11-1, the best win lose record 'in -the-league, and the. best record of any Port Perry team: 'They are first in the league on games played. In Brougham on July 17, Port ripped into the Brougham pitching early in the first inning for four runs on six hits, Pete Beare, Morley David- son, Wes Evans, Bill Harper, John Rodway, and Coyle all hit. Brougham scored their first two runs in the bottom of the first inning. In the bottom of the fourth Brougham tied it up with a single and a long home run to left field. Brou- gham playing steadily. in-the bottom "of the fifth caused Bill Harper, the coach, to remove Bob Robertson in favour of John Popowich after |; Bob had given up a single, af steal and a sacrifice fly. Brougham scored the run- ner form third when Popo- wich allowed a single to deep centre. Coyle again hit and drove in Peter Beare to tie the game up in the sixth inn- ing, five to five. Brougham scored two runs on three hits. Port again got to the Brougham pitching "in the seventh inning for; one triple by - John~ 'Popowich; two doubles, Wes Evans and Bill Harper; and a single by Bob Robertson that combined for a two run edge 7 to 9. Broughain found their hitting strength in the next inning, three singles, a triple, and two balls past the catcher gave a'one run lead at the bottom of the ninth. Port's last charce seemed dimmed when Bob Robertson, after walking, was thrown out by the catcher while attempt- ing to steal second. Pete Beare stepped to the plate and hit a-solid single through the in- field. Coyle smashed a home- run for the winning run. 'Brougham wasretited in order in the last of the ninth and the final scare was 11 to 12 in Ports favour. Come out and see another winning effort any Tiesday at the ball park. Port combined con- sistent hitting and fine pitch- ing for the impressive 12 - 1 win. Port's speed; in the person of Pete Beare, turned a broken bat single, a pair of steals, and a sacrifice fly by Wes Evans for their first run. Intermediates Gain 4 Pts.
