Hours -- 4:30 p.m. to 11:00 Fire Destroys '63 Rambler The local fire department was called out at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday night to extinguish a fire in a 1963 Rambler in Prince Albert. The car belonging to Carl Jacobsen was completely destroyed by the fire which appeared to have started in the front seat. County Firemen Meet In Port Perry Last Friday evening, 39 firemen from Ontario County 'gathered at the local fire hall, when the. Port Perry, Reach and Scugog Fire Department played host to the monthly meeting. of the Ontario County Mutual Aid Associat- ion. This was the first meeting after the summer recess. The guest speaker for the evening was Ron Murphy from _the Dyer and Miller. Fire Equipment Company of Tor- onto. Mr. Murphy demonstrat- ed a new fire fighting monitor for the men previous to the meeting and during the meet- ing he also showed some new fire extinguishers that have just been put on the market. Many items of business. were discussed, among them was the Firemen's Poster Con- test coming up shortly.
