Girls ord Of Lions Club Celeste Briggs and Mary- Ann Goreski were guests: of the Port Perry Lions Club at the regular meeting held Monday at Club Annrene. They were invited to give an account of an exchange program with American girls sponsored by the Lions Clubs. The two girls spent two weeks in Allantown, Pennsylvania, and brought an American girl back to Port Perry for a two week stay here. According to the report, both the girls enjoyed them- selves, and: the Lions Club is contemplating to sponsor a trip next year for two addit- ional students. Quan Passes Only three weeks follow- ing the sale of his restaurant, LaSalle, Mr. P. Quan passed away at Oshawa General Hospital. Mr. Quan, a neighbour of the Star will be missed by all that knew him. He worked in Montreal and Oshawa prior to opening his own restaurant here three years ago.
