Mrs. Eleanor Wood, parade chairman said "I am absolutely amazed in : the interest and co-oper- ation shown in this year's Santa Parade'. A third band has been added to the two already promised to take part. In the "line-up now will be the High School Band, Uxbridge Legion Pipe Band and. Bowmanville Pipe Band. Mrs. Jean Barbour and her colourful young baton twirlers will take part. Clowns and other individ- umes, children with decor- ated bicycles and doll car-. riages are also expected to be part of the parade. The parade starts at the High School 1 p.m. and will march down Queen where Santa will be hand- ing out bags of candy to all children. If the weatherman looks with favour on the parade and the residents of this area, the day can. only become a success. Prizes will be awarded to three house owners with the best ideas and most . artistically decorated houses in: Port Perry. Judges will be persons . residing outside the Village and will be strictly neutral.
