Walter Welts reported that now 40 letters have been returned from the Balloon fly-a-thon. Delegates were sought for the Annual Con- vention held in Toronto on Feb. 25 & 26. Refreshments]. were served at the conclu- sion of teh business. - Recent callers with Mr. & Mrs. Bob Bryans and family were: Miss Barbara Brown, Courtice and Mr. Vic. Hane, Hampton; also Mr. and Mrs. George Bryans, Stuart and Rickey, Courtice. Miss Doreen VanCamp re- turned home on Thursday from a five months tour which included the British Isles and India. While in India, Doreen visited many areas and renewed friend- ships made in the time of her three year teaching mission, 1962-1965. Mr. & Mrs. John Medland, Bill and Barbara, Brooklin, were Friday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ger- ald Kelly and family. On Sunday evening a large number of local friends and relatives of Miss Aileen Van- Camp enjoyed a lovely pro- gramme of her various slides in the Community Hall. A- mong the slides were thosg of Haliburton, Hawaii, New England and the British Isles. Lunch was served. Floyd Kyte has been trans- ferred from the Warkworth Royal Bank to a branch in Oshawa. A speedy recovery is wish- ed for Mr. Gordon Paisley who has been ill for the past "week. Mrs. Honey, Warkworth re- turned to her home on Thursday following a stay with her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Green and fam. ily since Marjorie's Teturn from hospital.
