Some councillors objected to-the larger-areas of juris- diction -becayse taxpayers in some cases will have to make long distance phone calls to reach their weed inspectors. Council agreed to raise the warden's salary by $1,000 to $10,000, defeating a rec- ommendation by the finance and assessment committee that he be paid $11,000.
