The Martyn's lived for two years in Prince Albert and then purchased a farm on Scugog Island. Catharine was a member of Grace United Church and an active worker in church and community. She loved people and was ready to lend a helping hand on a moments notice. - Catharine believed that anything worth doing was worth giving your best and practiced this in her daily living. Her motto was "Ex- perience has taught me that it takes half as much time to do a job right as it does to explain why I did it wrong"'. She was also a remarkable photographer and many enjoyed the recapture of her sight seeing trips. She was a person of many talents. A favorite was dressmaking for the happy bride and her attendants. Catharine. enjoyed teaching and was an artist at most crafts. She will be missed-as Director of the Scugog Shores Craft Centre. Give me a few friends who will love me for what I am and keep ever burning be-- fore my vagrant steps the kindly light of hope.
