Hello Steve, we miss you here and hope you will come and pay us a visit in the nice weather, On Friday evening (Good Friday) we were indeed honoured by a special Easter program. The highlight was the arrival of the *"Ad- -vocates'-a-group of 5 gospel musicians under the leader- ship of John Brown. The program was organized and directed by Ivan Pascoe of Oshawa: who started the "evening off with a sing song. He brought with him a complete sound system in- cluding large turntable and loud speakers. He taped the program put on by the Advocates. Latest" 9 x DECOLON RUGS HARD SURFACE John Brown sang, accom- panied by his 3 handsome young men and lovely lady at the piano. They looked so nice in white and blue matching outfits, We certainly appreciate them giving of their time and talents freely for the worship and inspiration of the folks at the home. They have been in Port Perry before at St. John's Presbyterian Church but this is their first visit at the home. However, we hope this won't be their last. They have sang on the radio and are busy touring the country bringing the Gospel in song to many. The service was attended by almost all the residents. The evening was brought to a close with a lunch served by the staff of the Home. Our sincere thanks to the "Advocates" again and to Ivan Pascoe for assisting in this way on Good Friday. On Saturday, Father Paul Voornay attended and served communion to the Catholic residents of the Home. There , was a general exodus of residents over the Easter weekend.
