Mr. EricParkof Port Perry Ivan Law judge at Fair Mr. Ivan Law, of Oshawa, associated with Port Perry Fair for over 40 years - most of those years in the capacity of a judge of fruits and vegetables will be coming to the fair in a new role this year, when he will be displaying some of his num- erous wood carvings. Mr. Law started his hobby at the age of 79 and now this young spirited man at 86 has completed almost 200 car- vings. Some of his large pieces are a sawmill which actually saws lumber - a complete blacksmith shop. A house furnished, a school, church and a covered bridge. Other pieces are teams of horses drawing logs, a horse drawn cutter and other interesting items. Be sure to see this unique display in the Women's Building on Mon- day, September 4th.
