. Epsom News The anniversary at Epsom church on Sunday was a once in a lifetime experience. Those who stayed home were sadly mjsSed, but if you'd all have come where would you have found room. The sing-song led by Mrs. Robt. Thompson ended with inspirational song *'whisper- ing Hope" and all enjoyed Mrs. Thompson's solo. Rev. -Arnold Foster intro- ~duced our guest minister Rev. Jos. Bushell of Minden. Mr. Thompson conducted the service - and J. Bushell brought a most inspiring message of hope. The choir Mrs. B, Bushell and daugh- ters Lori and Linda, her sister Mrs. Catherwood and sister in-law Mrs, K, Ashton, Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. R. Brown rendered several members. This begins to look like a family affair doesn't it. Now for some most wel- come guests. The minister's grandfather Mr. Frank Mill- man and Mrs. Millman, his father and mother Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bushell, Mrs. Bushells aunts Mrs. Alma » Claughton and Mrs. Pauline Farr. With such young dedicated people don't dare say there isn't hope. "Monday night was also a wonderful evening for me for I attended a shower for Miss Elizabeth Croxall when all the neighbours new and old... gathered to honour the bride. I hadn't seen some of these old friends for years, so a lot of visiting was done. After the bride thanked all for her gifts Mrs. Croxall said she had a few words to say. Elizabeth had said she wasn't the "Trousseau Tea" type but mother invited to see all the beautiful gifts Elizabeth had received of her many showers as well as those things she had been collecting herself. A beauti- ful quilt her Grandmother Chapman had pieced after she was eighty five, Mrs. R. Vietch had quilted it and Mrs. Carter had helped with the binding, what a marvel- ous creation.
