10-PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, Sept. 27, Local girls runners-up Despite excellent play and fine team spirit, the local Juvenile *'D" girls team had to accept the runners-up title in the All-Ontario Champ- ionship's Finals. The team lost the first game in Lambeth to the Lambeth girls on September 10 with a score of 8 - 6. The second and third games were played in Port Perry on Sunday and the local girls won the first game convincingly by a score of 8 - 1, but lost the second 4 - 0. The girls made a fine effort and deserve a big hand. The picture was taken following the last game and some of the girls don't have a hard time mustering a smile.
