David previously played for the Port Perry Minor Hockey Association and has always been one of the top scorers on the teams he played. After two periods of scoreless hockey, Whitby scored late in the third period and held on to win the game. Whitby's goal was scored by Terry Whyte from Lloyd Conner. Bill Morrison earned the shutout. The C.T.C. lads played a great game and came close to tying the score, keeping pressure on the Whitby team until the final whistle. The team shows improvement in each game they play. Their next game is in Markham on November 16. Busy week for team The Port Perry juvenile team, sponsored by Grieve's Gulf played a busy schedule last week. The team started out with losses to Uxbridge 4 - 1 on Friday and to Sunderland 6 - 2 on Saturday. Sunday, the team played against West Rouge and the games ended in a 2 - 2 tie. Scoring schedules are not available for the two first games, but in the Sunday game it was Jamie McNab who opened the scorings, Cal Cochrane assisting in the first period and Bill Jeffrey scoring in the second period, Robert Stephens and Barry Leahy assisting.
