The visitors opened the game with a strong skating and passing game, and built up a quick 3 - 0 lead on goals by Roger Dusome, Brian Duguette and Rick Wright before the 12 minute mark of the 1st period. The Flamingos settled [J down and lead by Glen McCoy with two goals and a single by Dave Bourgeois: tied the game by the end of the period. Randy Hall and Dave Bourgeois scored for the local juniors in the second period and the Flamingos took a 5 - 4 lead into the third period, with Roger Moreau replying for Penetang. At the eleven minute mark of the third period Chris Brain, up from the Port Perry Midgets scored a goal on a strong individual effort and it appeared the Juniors were in for another home victory, but goals by Terry Dahmer and Brian Duguette tied the game late in the period. Don Waldinsperger in goal for the Flamingos was called upon. to make several big saves in the last minute to prevent the Penetang club for taking the victory. "The Flamingos are on the road this week, playing at Oak Ridges on Monday, at Port Hope on Thursday and at Sutton on Sunday, before returning home to play Lindsay on Thursday, December 21st. THANK You To the residents of Port Perry who supported me in the recent election. Although it is natural disappointment to lose, |f it is very gratifying to have the support of 43% _ | of the voters. After discussions with many residents | realize that | have not lost my interest in community work and hope to remain involved, in the future, to whatever extent is possible.
