The gifts were lovely and all had a pleasant afternoon. This affiar was arranged by Mrs. Neil Wanamaker, Mrs. Glenn Wanamaker, Mrs. W. Gibson and Miss Nancy Wanamaker. Quite a showery spring for the grocer's family! On Thursday, Mrs. B. Wana- maker attended a shower for Mrs. Beth Bryden at the home of Mrs. Moore in Blackstock. Deputy reeve Phil Orde reported that vandals have been turning on fire hydrants illegally. '"'Some night the tank is going to be emptied and we will get a fire in the morning and no water," he said. It was decided to recom- mend no change in water allocations in the village. Reeve Kenny declared a conflict of interest because he holds mortgages on property which has been allocated water.
