We regret that our own minister, Rev, Wm. Black was unable to be with us for this service, due to illness. Rev. Wm. Fairley, Fenelon Falls was our guest minister. The Celebration Dinner on Monday evening was a huge success, when about 130 people were served a turkey dinner served by the men folk of our congregation. They did a fine job. A short programme followed the dinner. Rev. Kenneth Heron, Barrie, Rev. Moore, Ux- bridge, and Rev. McClure, Whitby, were in attendance. Mr. Lindsay Death was the master of ceremonies for the evening, and Rev. McClure was the guest speaker. Mr. E. Heron showed slides of our former church, the building of our new church, dedication Sunday, and other interesting pictures of the church. On Wednesday evening, Miss Chrissie Simpson en- tertained the Ladies Bible Class in her home at Brooklin. 14 ladies were present. The president, Mrs. Routley chaired the meeting. Two poems were read by Miss Simpson. The meeting was brought to a close by the singing of the hymn, Jesus Keep me Near the Cross. Closing prayer by Mrs. Wm. Gardner. Courtesies by Mrs. Ashton. Lunch was served by the committee in charge. We are pleased that Rev. Wm. Black is making favourable progress follow- ing his surgery in Oshawa General Hospital. Mr. Harold Fisher is also confined to Oshawa General Hospital. We wish for both Rev. Black and Harold, a very speedy recovery.
