Doug Tangney is remembered for his role in "Brigadoon" two years ago and in last summer's melod- rama, and Cheryl Bryans had developed into one of the brightest young actresses in the area through her per- formances in the Kiwanis musicals, and at L.C.V.I. theatre arts productions and as Lucy in last year's production of 'You're a * Good Man, Charlie Brown." The show is being directed by Dennis Sweeting and Diane Nyland. Material has been written by the cast, with contributions from Martin Lager. Pianist for the show is Diane Wakelin. Obituary Louisa Maude Lee (Howsam) Louis Maude (Howsam) Lee passed away April 12, 1973 in her 93rd year at the Palm's Nursing Home, Kingston Road, Scar- borough. Predeceased by her hus- band John Taylor in 1917, and her husband Mr. Lee later; and her son George Taylor. She is survived by a son Harold Taylor, Whitby, Ont., a sister (Lillie) Mrs. Russell Whitwell, Stoney Creek, Ontario and a brother Air Vice Marshall George How- sam of Victoria, British Columbia. Also deceased by a sister (Susie) Mrs. Arthur Rey nolds and seven brothers Sam, Roy, Luther, Charley, Milbert, Walter and Earl Howsam. Funeral service was held in Gerrett's Funeral Home, Scarborough and interment in Kendal's Cemetery, Utica April 14, 1973. Brown of Blackstock was their guests on Friday. Mr. Fred Real & Ross spent a few days at their cottage near Minden and had the distinction of getting the first boat of the seas on Lake Kishagawigimog. Mrs. M. Ainsworth of Peterborough called on her mother, Mrs. Guy and her aunt, Mrs. Tait on Monday. Dinner guests of Mrs. Tait on Sunday were Mrs. Aldeen Esau & Heather of Toronto. Mrs. Rob. Leask accom- panied by Mr. and Mrs. Alex Leask, spent Good Friday with Mr. and Mrs. L. Sinclair in Peterborough. Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Clark, Brampton, and Mr. and Mrs. G. Kennedy, Stouffville, were Friday guests of Mrs. H. Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hart & Douglas of Uxbridge, called on Mrs. H. Thomas on Saturday. We were all saddened to hear of the death on Saturday morning of Mr. Fleetwood Beare an old and respected resident of this area. Miss Cathy Cookman spent the weekend with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ross Cookman. We are pleased to hear that Vernon Mount is stead- ily improving and is expec- ted home this week. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hood of Edmonton visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. McMillan last week. Weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Neil Hunter were: Mrs. E. Hunter from Scar- borough, Miss Heather Campbell of Guelph, and Mr. and Mrs. P. Studinski of Guelph. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Phoenix spent a few days in Toronto last week visiting their children, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Baggs and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Rae and family, and sister, Miss Jean Phoenix. « This Sunday, April 29th will be our U.CW. Thank Offering service. Our Guests will be Reverend and Mrs. Milton Arnold, who will show picture slides of their missionary trip to Africa at 10 o'clock in the Sunday school room. Mr. and Mrs. Archie McMillan and Adelaide Mec- - Lennan visited with Mr. and Mrs. Armour McMillan Sun- day evening. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Kubbinga were home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rad Foster over the holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Dice- man were home visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. Tobin. Real took a bus trip to Nashville, Tennessee over the weekend. They took in the Grand Opry. The Junior Farmers' choir are presenting a variety show in the R. H.
