Plans were made for the June meeting and members were informed as to what would be expected of them in the line of baking for upcoming events. Ladies please note that the meeting will be held one week early (June 6) so as not to conflict with Little Britain's big day. Miss Doreen Vancamp of Blackstock will speak and show pictures of her recent trip to India. On Wednesday afternoon about 25 ladies met at the Nodwell home to have a cup of tea and to say farewell to Mrs. ~Otto-who with her husband will be moving to Oshawa this week. During this get-together Mrs. Otto was presented with a 400 day clock as a momento of her years in Seagrave. We are not happy to see these people leaving our com munity but quite realize that the move was nec- essary. Thursday's event was a dinner that Mr. and Mrs. B. Wanamaker had in Don Mills with the newly-weds Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wana- maker. ) As we supposed many of the Moon relatives went to Golden Wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Wallace. Our U.C.W. are serving lunch for the Hack sale on Saturday too so it could be an interesting day. It is elose to June 1 so for church services we are about to enter that frustrat- ing summer schedule when no one seems to know who will speak nor when. For a start we will have 2 weeks of nothing here -- neither church nor S.S. Next Sunday we are expected to attend Greenbank S.S. anniversary and on June 10 the centennial service at Pinedale. Both services will be at 11 o'clock and the Pinedale one should be of special interest because of ? the presence of former min- isters Rev. Harris, Rev. Cooper and Rev. Chapin. We almost missed com- menting on the improve- ments made by the Hi-C. They spent considerable time and money m aking a new planting in front of our church. It looks much better now. . The Hi-C are also plann- ing to take the morning service on June 19th. WES PLUMBING - HEATING - PORT PERRY PASTORAL CHARGE The United Church of Canada Rev. W.
