Hill has been under the Doctor's Care last week but are happy that she is improving now. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Archer, Whitby were Friday evening guests of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Archer. Sunday night guests were Mr. Jim Archer and Miss Janice Massey of Whitby. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Stapleton of Oshawa were Saturday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Essery. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Beacock, formerly of Nest- leton and now residing in Lindsay, were recent visi- tors of the B. Heaslips. They attended the Beacock annual reunion in Prince Albert last week. In honour of Mr. Beacock's seventy fifth birthday, a trip to Barrie was in the offing. Congratulations to Delbert upon the occasion of his birthday. It is not very many years ago that he suffered a severe heart attack that kept him in bed all of autumn and most of the winter. At that time the doctor warned Delbert to be careful concerning his health. The Beacocks lived on the hill beside us at the time and when I would ask him to slow up, he would smile and say, 'the Good Lord knows what is best" How right he is. The George Bowers, visi- ted in North Bay with their daughter and family for a few days last week. Their social calender is quite full. The Bowers were Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Z. Adams in Bowman- ville, and then payed a visit to Mrs. Ross Adams in Oshawa. Our sympathy is extended to Mrs. Adams, PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, June 27th, 1973 -- 11 area upon the recent loss of her mother. On Monday afternoon of last week, Mrs. B. DeJong, Mrs. G. Heaslip and Mrs. R. Davison attended a com- mittee meeting, held in the home of Mrs. M. Fisher of Caesarea. It was decided to have the annual bus trip on July the tenth in preference to August, which was cus- tomary.
