Mr. Bruton may have a special reason for particu- larly enjoyng this year's show. He won the Chambers draw for a free four day trip to the Province of Que- bec. He won't be able to go, mind you, because his helper will be on vacation August 3 to 6 when the trip must be taken. But he will enjoy the prize.anyway. Mr. Bruton plans to take the money instead and use it towards a trip to British Columbia later in the year. The show drew what appeared to be record crowds over its three day run in the arena. Although no attendance records are kept Chamber of Commerce President Ken Dowson thinks there were probably more people on hand than in any previous year. The bar alone took in more than $2,000 which Mr. Dowson thinks is a pretty good indication of how many 'people attended. Forty booths were open during the show and a number of them offered free draws for valuable prizes which ranged from a set of table and chairs through a backyard swimming pool and including a vacation trip to Nassau. Mrs. Glen Hill won the Nassau trip. Mrs. Jaqueline Rankin won the pool, and the table and chairs went to Marlene Desautels. Jim Moore and Murray Slute each won a $50 shopping voucher from Ballard Lumber.
