News from Blackstock area Mr. apd Mrs. Johnny Walker (nee Audrey McLaughlin) and boys of California are visiting their McLaughlin relatives in the area. Mr. and Mrs. Rick Thompson and boys moved into their new home last week. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Rowett and boys moved from Cae- sarea into their new home in the Blackstock Subdivision recently. Men's High Art Bailey, Second Gordon Strong, Third - Marwood McKee. Mr. and M rs. Roy McLaughlin attended Decoration Services at Bethesda Cemetery on Sunday afternoon. Supper guests of the McLaughlin's were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Murphy, Newcastle, Mr. and the Mrs. Hugh Murphy, Bow- manville, Mr. and Mrs. David Kyte, Karen and Jason. Sympathy of the commun- ity is extended to Mrs. Wm. Hooey on the tragic drown- ing of her 19 year old nephew, Andy MacDonald of Sebright last weekend. On Friday evening a fine crowd of neighbours, rela- tives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Edgerton at- tended a House-warming party in their honour at their new home east of Black- stock. The evening was spent playing cards and visiting Donald and Marlene were presented with a lovely picture and a sum of money on behalf of the community. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Brackenridge of Baileboro visited with her aunt Mrs. J.A. Johnston on Sunday. Better health is wished for Mrs. Courtney Graham who is still a patient in Port Perry Hospital.
