Rev. W. Mark Reeves performed the ceremony. Mrs. Bruce Snelgrove provided the wedding music and accom- panied the soloist Mrs. Marilyn McIntyre, friend of the bride. Mrs. Mcintyre sang "The Wedding Prayer." Mrs. Snelgrove also directed the brides Sunday School Class in '"The Hawaiian Wedding Song," which they sang while the bride and groom were signing the register. Given in marriage by her father and mother, the bride wore a floor length gown of white chiffon over . white crepe underskirt. The gown featured an empire waist, sheer chiffon sleeves and neckline. Collar, cuffs and trim on the dress and train matched the border of scalloped lace on the cathedral length veil. She carried a bouquet of assorted spring flowers. Misses Linda and Mary Lee Wana- maker, Oshawa, nieces of the groom were the flower girls. The attendants wore identi cal floor-length jump suits designed by the bride, of orange, yellow and green chiffon over white sundance. The jump-syits had sheer sleeves and bodice with rolled collar. Their head- pieces were daisy chain wreaths and velvet streamers. They carried baskets of yellow daisy mums and baby's breath. The groom was attended by Mr. Ronald Wana- maker, Oshawa, brother of the groom. The ushers were Mr. Neil Wanamaker, Sea- grave, brother of the groom, Larry Ross, Utica. friend of the groom, Glen Sweetman, Edmonton, brother of the bride, and Wayne Wana- maker, Oshawa was junior usher. They wore brown tuxedos, light yellow shirts and black velvet bow ties. The groom wore a yellow rose the attendants yellow daisy mums. The reception and wed- ding dance was held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Port Perry. The bride's mother received the guests assisted by the groom"s mother. Mrs. Sweetman wore an aqua chiffon floor length gown and a wrist corsage of aqua and white button mums. Mrs. Wana- maker wore a mint green floor length gown of peau de soie. Her corsage was of yellow roses. The bride's uncle, Mr. Everett Doupe, performed the duties as Master of Cere- monies. For travelling the bride chose a brown and white halter dress and matching coat. The groom wore orange and yellow plaid pants, brown sports jacket and vest with matching bow tie. Their friends and rela- tives sent them off in their '""/decorated'" car for a honeymoon in Cape Cod. Post Office Delivery News from the Utica area Thanksgiving service will be held in Utica United Church on Sunday, October 7, at 11:30 a.m. This will be a united service of the Sunday school and church when the children will be presented with their badges and seals. We are pleased that Mr. Hillis Wilbur who has been a patient in Oshawa General Hospital since Sept. 23 is improving and hopes to be coming home this week.
