20) - PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, Oct. 3rd, 1973 Nursing Home News The week started off with the usual chores by the general staff. There were no admissions or transfers. On Tuesday, 25th, we had a church service given by the Rev. Rose (Anglican) but unfortunately there were only thirteen patients that turned up. Perhaps it was one of the patients off days and didn't feel like attend- ing. Patients in a Nursing Home are very unpredic- table. Some days they feel on top of the world and others they don't feel well and stay in their rooms. I think the Rev. Rose was a little disappointed at so small an attendance. We WES PLUMBING - only hope he understood. the situation and we can only hope we shall have a better attendance next time he comes in a month's time. We had our usual bingo game on Thursday, 27th. We had quite a good turn out. There being seven winners Mrs. Walker, Mrs. McClark (2) Mr. G. Christie (2) Mr. J. Doupe, Mr. H. Abbott, Mr. Smith, and Mr. W. Moroz (2). We were pleased to welcome Mrs. DeYoung back after her recent bereavement of her son-in- law. She and the other ladies helped distribute the prizes and helped in other ways.
