' Saturday evening was a gala evening for several of our communty when the family of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Asling surprised them with family cele- brations for their thirty-fifth wedding anniversary. Dinner was served to about seventy people in the United Church Sunday School rooms. We were all so pleased Donald's parents Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Asling of Whitby were able to be present. Guests were pre- sent from Little Britian, Whitby, Peterborough, Ajax. The youngest grandson, just six days old was also present. He was also at church on Sunday so he began to socialize quite young. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Watson also on their wedding anniversary, and I believe Mrs. Hansen had a birthday yesterday. Her five daughters from Toronto were home for the occasion. . Mrs. Marjorie McCoombe of Willowdale called on Mrs. F. Munro. Mr. and Mrs. Collis and family of Port Perry were supper guests with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Munro on Sunday.
