After lunch Mrs. Santa appeared to distribute the exchange gifts. And was she a lively Santa's wife. On Friday evening S.S. super Carr was the busy man when the annual Christmas concert look place. As usual cach class did their bit, starting with the tiny pre-schoolers and finishing with some singing by their pas and mas. Santa came from the north this time and we think each one of a large crowd of children received at least one gift and a bag of candy. Attendance was quite good. This week we are glad to announce that Mr. Norm Hurst is safely at home again, but unfortunately we must also report that Mr. Bernard Standish had to be rushed to Oshawa Hospital on Sunday night suffering from a heart seizure. Christmas dinners are being served even now. On - Sunday the Wanamakers started things by all hands their ~~ annual yv party which was held vear at "the Glenn Wanamaker home in Port Perry. Mr. and Mrs. Belair were also in town on Sunday for a pre-Christmas dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bryant who will be spending their real Christmas in Manitoba wilh relatives. Doings at their old home church always attract Mr. and Mrs. Don Hunter. It happened again on Sunday when they attended Melville United Church where an organ and piano were being dedicated. After lunch they made a call on their daughter and her family in Stouffville. Mr. and Mrs. Don Beacock kept moving on the weekend too. On Saturday they with Mr. and Mrs. John Foster were in Greenbank to cele- brate the golden wedding anniversary of their grand- parents Mr. and Mrs. Russel Rodd. ~ Sunday evening saw the Beacocks back home in Prince Albert at the S.S. concert there.
