Unable to find the Fountain of Youth, he has turned to ice fishing as a means of staying young. You would think (and so should the fish) that they would be safe under the ice. Not so he chops a hole and catches them anyway. He will be 90 years young on his next birthday and is an ardent summer fisherman as well Nestleton Caesarea continued Dorothy Lee. The annual United Church Congregational meeting was held in Nestleton on Sunday morning following the service, and lunch. Rever- end Victor Parsons presided as Chairman, opening with a prayer. The secretary was Mr. L.. Malcolm. He read the minutes. The church finan- cial statement was submit- ted by Mr. G. Fish. Mrs. L. Malcolm gave the Sunday school report and Mrs. Fish reported on the finances. It was suggested that a reserve fund be established in order to complete the washrooms. Mr. [.. Malcolm, Mr. G. Fish and Mr. V. Ward have joined the board of Stewards. New members of the board of trustees are Mr. O. Reader, Mr. R. Jacob and Mr. G. Malcolm. A deer apparently was endea- vouring to conquer the icy hill in search of food. Each step he took was as that of a wobbly fawn vainly trying to walk on unsure legs. | watched that perfor- mance for about twenty minutes and finally the poor creature in desperation gave up the battle and skidded back to his sanctuary in the deep woods. We have many deer come to our yard for treats at times, but that was one that did not make it. I regretfully report that our friend and neighbour Neil Lee is at present: suffer- ing with- a badly dislo- cated shoulder. It is quite possible that surgery may be necessary but we sincerely hope not.
