Rouge Malmont Farms Atoms end regular league play with a 4 - 0 shutout at home on Feh. 8th. Scoring for Mal- mont were Wilbur, Vernon, Storry and Horton with San- dison and Andrews gelling one assist each and Williams and Robinson picking up two assists apiece. Christie play- Broomball tournament The 2nd Annual Chamber of Commerce Broomball Tournament will be held on Saturday in the local arena. Eight teams will do battle starting at 8 a.m. with the champions and consolation winners receiving the ¢ham- ber of Commerce Plaque's and travel expenses. Cobourg (Bruce & Rick's) will defend their last years championship and Peterboro Canucks will also be on hand. (Last Year's Consolation Winners.) Evans scored 2 goals as did Larry Elson and Mike McQuade. Single goals to Ed Olsen, Stu Cochrane and Bill Bridge. Assists in the game 2 each for Stu Cochrane. Steve Jones: Phil Cochrane had 3 Single assists went to Mike Healy. Scot Wilbur, Bill Bridge, Colin Wackett and Ed Olsen. February 1st, Port Perry travelled to Port Hope and won by a 6 - 2 score. Larry on a pass from Mike McQuade Steve Jones scored on a play from Phil Cochrane and Mike Me- Quade. Mike McQuade scored from Phil Cochrane. Robt Evans finished the scoring for Port Perry assis- ted by Colin Wackett. In 20 games of the regular seasons, the Bantams have scored 123 goals to allow only 33 and have played 4 shut out games. IFebruary 6 in a fast clean Exhibition game against Whitby Major Bantams. Port Perry more than held their own and led the bigger Whitby team 2 1. until Whitby tied dhe game with 11 seconds remaining in the game Whitby opened the scoring at 108 of the 1st period. Port Perry tied it up at 10:49. Phil Cochrane scored assis- ted by Steve Jones. The second period was fast and Port Perry carried the play to Whitby but could not score. To this point in the game, only 4 penalties were called two in the first period and two in the second. Phil Cochrane scored un- assisted at the 39 second mark of the third period and it looked as though it would be the winner but Whitby lied the game while Port Perry were short handed with 11 seconds to go. February 13, Aurora Ban- tam will play Port Perry an exhibition game at 7:30 p.m. in the Port Perry arena.
