The meeting was closed and a dainty lunch served by the Anna Unit. Cartwright High School News The students at C.H.S. have found another desirable aspect of attending a small school. The grade twelves planned the menu for the lunch; every class took part in bringing the food; and on the last day before the Christmas holidays the stu- dents and the staff partook in a delicious buffet- style lunch which would not have been possible in a large school. The lunch was high- lighted by the presentation of a farewell gift to Mrs. Chris- tie by the Student's Council. The rest of the afternoon was spent watching a movie, "Shoot-Out." Everyone thought it was such a good idea that we hope to do it again later this year. The school was relatively quiet during the latter partof January because exams were . coming up. The dreaded exams were held from the twenty-second to the twenty-eight. Things are back to normal now and everyone's glad they're over. If you were one of the ones writing on the final day, at three o'clock as the last exam finished, you probably heard that sigh of relief. The Drama Club has started the auditioning for the C.H.S. Annual Drama Night three one-act play competition to be held in March. It looks like there will be strong competition again this year. CHAMPION STUFFER. The girls peeled bananas and fed them to their boy part- ners at the high school winter carnival last Thur- sday. Jane Anne Stone won the fastest stuffer title by helping an un- identified partner polish off a banana in time that even beat teacher compe- titors.
