February 7th, 1974, at 1:00 a.m. The first speaker on the afternoon program was Mr. Walter Beath, Chairman of the Durbam Region. Mr. Beath, a Beef Producer him- self and former President of the County Beef Improve- ment Association, spoke on the development of the Ontario Beel Improve- ment Association since it was first organized in 1963. Mr. Beath served as a di- "rector of the Provincial Association from Ontario County. from 1963 until 1973, when he resigned on accepl- ing chairmanship of the new Region of Durham. During his term of office. he served as President of the Pro- vineial Association, and on a number of committees. and at the time of leaving the Provincial Association w as vincial Association was chairman of the Promotion Commitiee.
