Pat Bourgeois, President of the Association, presided at the meeting. The Prime Minister's Dinner will be held March 6, 1974 at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto. The Federal Nomination Meeting for Ontario Riding has been postponed until May. Further information will be forthcoming. The First Federal Agricul- tural Seminar will be held on March 30th in the 'New Township of Scugog. The Seminar will take place in the afternoon followed by a [net Darice in the even- ing. A committee has been formed to investigate the organization for a separate association for the Provin- cial Riding for Ontario South. He is Mr. Archie Walker of Sun Valley who had to enter the Community Hospital during the week end. Almost as soon as she arrive home last week, Mrs. Hunter received word of the unexpected death in Florida of her brother whom she had visited only a few days earlier and found in good health. Changes come fre- quently for the house behind the store. Recent occupants Mr. and Mrs. Judd moved out on Saturday and in their place will be Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Land of Whitby. These people aren't complete strangers. Mrs. Land's bro- ther, Lance Knowles, lived in that house a while ago. 'In speaking of moving, we note that Mr. Dan Masdan has at last been able to move into his new home down near Bethel corner. Twelve girls turned out for the first 4H meeting. It was mainly an organizing and planning session. Mrs. Nodwell went abroad for a part of the week too for a visit with an old friend, Mrs. Kahil in Ottawa. Al their respected homes on the week end were Mari- lyn McMillan, Allan Wray, Lloyd and Donna Bruce and Donna's gentleman friend. Misses Bonnie Short. and Diane Barr were members of the High School Girls Ensemble who provided music at the Port Perry Baptist Church on Sunday morning. Our people seem to be more concerned about their stomachs than about their worthy things. Tuesday eve- ning found more than 100 persons at the church guzz- 250 students ready for British tour 170 students from Port Perry High School, in addit- ion to students from Black- stock will make up a 250 passenger group which will leave on Saturday and Sun- day for a tour of Britain. The air of excitement grows as the departure time grows nearer. 40 students from the school will be meeting with Mr. Walter Beath, Durham Region chairman, this after- noon (Wednesday) to receive historical books and official documents to take to Britain to present to the mayor and council of Durham, England.
