Community he was presented with a clock radio and luggage. Mr. Yeo now resides at 901 Regent Drive, Oshawa and his many friends wish him good health and happiness in his retirement after 35 years of business in this community. Mr. John Maw, District F Commander, and Mrs. Maw, attended the District G Convention of the Royal Canadian Legion in King- ston on the week end. One of the many winners in the Olympic Lottery re- cently was Allen Moore of Elgin Street, Port Perry, who won $100.00. The Kinsmen Club have staged two successful events recently. At their dance in Blackstock Recre- ation Centre they had a full house and made a hand- some profit. Proceeds will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. On Saturday, they had a blitz selling fertilizer. Out of 300 bags they sold all but 8 but will no doubt be sold out this week. Proceeds from this venture will be used for Community work. Minutes of the previous meetings were read by Nor- ma Crowell, and adopted as read. Mary Cannon reports that the sales in the Tuck Shop are very good. Marion Webster, Bootee Convenor, reported that since the last meeting, 6 girls and 3 boys have been born in our Hos- pital. & On Wednesday, April 24th quite a few of the ladies will be travelling to Peterboro for the Spring Conference of the Hospital Auxilliary As- sociation. The next meeting will be held on the 13th of May and the Hospital Spring Fair will be held on the 24th of May.
