Mr. Glass has recently graduated from Knox College with his Master Divinity degree. I may at this time add that this degree was hard earned and so well warranted by this young man. At the most impressive ceremony held in Convocation Hall at the University of Toronto on April the 30th, Mrs. Rick Glass was an extremely proud guest. Mrs. Anne Glass, of Rockford, Illinois and an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bourn of Toledo, Ohio were equally as proud. Mr. Glass shall be ordained in St. Andrew's Presbyterian church, Sonya, on Tuesay, May 16th at 7:30 in the evening. Mrs. C. Earnshaw of Cae- sarea was hostess to the Nestleton WI. for their May meeting. The president Mrs. Ben DeJong welcome all. A poem entitled "Nothing Quite so Lovely" was then read by Mrs. DeJong who then opened the meeting in the customary manner. In the absence of the Secretary, Mrs. J. Wygerde, Mrs. R. Davison acted on her behalf, reading the minutes etc. Plans were finalized for the District Annual held in Solina on May the 8th. It was decided that the Nestleton W.I1. pay for the tuning of the piano for the Nestleton Com- munity Centre, Nestleton. It was decided that a commit- tee of three ladies each month shall provide lunch at meetings. Group leaders are as follows, Mrs. G. Bowers, Mrs. Allan Beacock, Miss Ruth Proutt and Mrs. Charles Earnshaw. A thank you was conveyed to Mrs. Grant Thompson, who though unable to attend the meeting kindly sent the name tags made by her. The reception followed at the Flying Dutchman Inn. Mrs. Florence Thompson of Toronto, is at present visiting with her sister Mrs. L.. Cooledge in Nestleton. On Thursday the ladies were dinner guests of Mrs. Spruitt in Oakwood. A wish for a rapid recov- ery is extended to Mr. Bruce Heaslip of Nestleton. Mr. Heaslip has been ill for the past two weeks. Ontario' is published in September The authors of the book are Ronald G. Tozer and James M. Richards. The Lake Scugog Histori- cal Society has made arran- gements to make available the book at the Museum. The Society has also made arrangements to supply ad- vance copies of the book. The price of the book when it finally comes to the Museum is likely to be $10. Advance copies can be made available for $7.50.
