Bad by Jean Bolan Two of our considerate local couples under took quite a chore on Saturday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gould and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Lawson accompanied eighteen active cubs to the Shriner's Circus in Oshawa. Yes the members of Cart- wright B pack were extrem- ely grateful to them and to the man responsible for this unexpected day of fun. Mr. Gordon Cooledge of Gordon's Market in Caesarea not only provided transportation but purchased the necessary tickets for the entire group. There is goodness around wherever welook and it gives one a rather nice feeling. Congratulations are ex- tended to Mr. Leon Renouf who recently showed the Jim Fowler's of Caesarea just what Euchre is all about. A sincere wish for improv- ed health is conveyed to Mr. Wilson, father of Mr. Tom Wilson of R.R. No. 2 Ponty- pool. Our prayers are with Mr. Wilson Sr. during his illness. We of the community are pleased to hear that, Mrs. Clara Rutkowski of Flint, Mich. has returned home from hospital. Mrs. Rutkowski was and still is visiting with her sister Mrs. Emilie Dyson in Caesarea. May continued health be hers. On Thursday evening the home of Mrs. Bud Train of Caesarea was a little over- NOW ISTHE TIME TO ORDER YOUR WINTER FUEL crowded. A baby shower given by twenty three friends of Mrs.. Ron Forsythe to welcome the Forsythe's new daughter, Tina Lyn. The gorgeous gifts almost made us wish that many of us were still raising babies... just almost. The shower was a total surprise to Elna, so much so that when the crowd yelled surprise...she most certainly was just that. A meal that was simply de- licious closed the evening... swiss steak cooked to perfec- tion, salad, crisp and tasty, hot buttered bread, crunchy pickles and cake and the beverage of your choice served to perfection by Mrs. Train and Mrs. Harley Jack- son shattered many ideas of dieting, at least for that evening. When Mrs. For- sythe was asked to make a speech she did not know what to say and shyfully said "Thank you all so much.' No one expected thanks, it was a pleasure...she is really a darn nice. gal. Congratulations, although late, are definitely in order for the students of 'Mrs. Kiezlbrink's class in Black- stock Public school. These talented grade four children won first prize at the recent Kiwani's Festival held in Oshawa. They are also doing so well in entertaining in the Nursing Home etc. On Sun- day May the 11th the children sang at the eleven a.m. service in the Port Perry Baptist Church. Keep up the good kwork children, we are very proud of each of you. A very busy young lady in our community these days is Miss Lynn Elizabeth Cooke, Nestleton and Caesarea News daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cooke of Caesarea. Lynn has been preparing for her upcoming marriage to Mr. William J. Park, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Park of Nestleton. The wedding is to take place on June the 15th with the Reverend Victor Parsons officiating in the Blackstock United Church. The reception is to follow in the Nestleton Recreation Centre. There are four showers planned for this popular young lady in the next two weeks. We of the community extend a wish for complete and lasting happi- ness to the young couple. Just a thought.. Let us all strive to be what no one else can be...for each individual is only what they themselves decideto be...it is most definitely our own choice. Riding Liberals acclaim Cafik continued matter.
