INCREASE Most spectacular areas of mill rate increase are the new Township of Uxbridge, former constituent munici- pality of Reach Township (up 9.6 and 8.4 mills, respective- ly). Norman Edmondson, board chairman, attributed the general mill rate in- creases to the impact of regional government and boundary realignments. The chairman emphasized the need for continuous re- examinations of budget al- locations during the coming year. 'We must keep in mind that a budget is only a guideline based upon reasonable ex- pectations of events. More than in any other year, we must stand ready to make any necessary change in allocation fo funds as may be required in future.
