Although the supper was immensly enjoyed by they that did attend, there was much to be desired in attendance. The turnout was poor and I may add, disappointing to the ladies that worked for this annual event. I, regret- fully did not attend as I was unaware of the fact that the supper was planned at this time. Perhaps if and when a fall supper is planned a little more advertising would help. If a person is not in the village they have no way of hearing about these lovely home-cooked meals and that is a shame. The evening of May 16th was one long to be remembered by the family and friends of the Reverend Rick Glass of the Nestleton and Sonya Presbyterian churches. It was the end of one long journey and the beginning of a new, more satisfying one as this young man of God obtained the goal that he had so diligently set for himself. In a most solemn and [eB fa 12% Th y . A AT iy PAA 4 RADIAN ATRIA PR ERR LETT impressive ceremony in the Sonya Presbyterian church the much respected student Minister emerged the Rev- erend R. Glass, M. Div. Among the guests at this happy event were Mrs. Rick Glass, wife of the new Minister and her Mother, Mrs. J. Gerrard of Elphin- stone, Manitoba, Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Glass and Miss Beverly Glass of Rockford Illinois. On behalf of the community I extend a wish for the best that life has to offer and good health to the Reverend and Mrs. Glass in their new home in Newfound- land. A wish for improved health is extended to Mr. Grahame Fish who is at present re- cuperating from injuries re- ceived when he was kicked bya horse.
