NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED as a By-law of the Corporation of the Town of Whitby by the Council thereof as follows: 1. THAT Section 2 of By-law No. 1784 is amen- ded by adding the following subsection: (zzb) "RIDING STABLES' means lands or building used for the purpose of keep- ing, training and exercising of saddle horses including the use of such estab- lishment as a commercial or private club for the riding of saddle horses, but shall not include anything In the nature of a commercial racetrack, nor the keeping, exercising or training of race horses. 2. THAT Section 11 subsection (a) (iv) is amended by deleting the word "'race- tracts" and by adding thereto the words" "riding stables" so that the said subsection as amended, shall read as follows: (iv) Recreational ; Bathing beaches (public and private), golf courses, riding stables and swim- ming pools. 3. THAT Section 11A subsection (a) is amended by adding thereto paragraph (iii) as follows: (iii) (a) Horse racetracks providing that the lot area is at least 10 acres.
