The hall was beautifully decorated with golden linked chains. Tall standards of large mums and carnations were placed at the front of the stage and a lovely bou- quel of pink carnations was tastefully arranged on the piano. Tea tables with embroide- red luncheon cloths were centred with bud vases of yellow baby mums. The long table with silver tea service, at each end, was centred with a beautiful three-tiered wedding cake with yellow and gold decorations. This was flanked by tall golden candles. The decoration (bride and groom) had also been on the cake of fifty vears ago. A large painting, the creation of Mrs. George Stone hangs on front of the building the scene showing part of Queen Street on fire in 1884.
