La Leche League is the international organiza- tion which offers informa- tion and encouragement to those interested in breast- feeding. These eminent physicians are members of the Professional Advisory Board of La Leche League International. Other featured speakers will include Lee Salk, Ph.D, Dana Raphael, Ph. D., Maria Piers, Ph. D., Glenn Doman, and Karen Pryor, all noted authors in the field of child development in which breastfeeding can play a vital role. Susan St. James, TV star of MacMillan and Wife, who is an enthusiastic nursing mother and League member, and Niles Newton, Ph. D., author of Family Book of Child Care, co- author of numerous papers on breastfeeding, and a member of La Leche League's Professional Advi- sory Board, will spotlight the banquet as speakers. Port Perry La Leche League has been active for one year and Oshawa La Leche League for three years. Informal meetings are held in members' homes monthly to acquaint those terested with the physical, psychological, and practical sides of breastfeeding.
