The forty participants evaluated a class of dairy cattle; beef cattle, sheep, horses, hay and haylage. The competitors completed quizs on swine production, plant identification, and general agricultural knowledge. Visits were made to the farms of Dr. Dawa - White Eagle Acres, and .Ross Miller, both of the Sunderland area, before completing the competition at the Sunderland Fairgrounds. The senior competitor with the highest overall score was Ted Smith, R. R. No. 4, Sunderland. The top junior competitor was Marie Drew- ery, R. R. No. 3, Stouffville. The highest scoring novice contestant was David Cham- bers, R. R. No. 3, Port Perry. The Junior Farmer Trophy was won by the Port Perry Club, whose team members were - Ted Smith, R. R. Mrs, Chet Geer and Mrs. Louis Wagner returned on Saturday from an enjoyable three-week bus tour to the West Coast. Master Wesley of Athens is visiting Rev. and Mrs. I. Saunders. Prize winners at the euchre in the hall on Friday evening were Mrs. Reid Cook, Margaret Ballard and Mrs. Campsall; Bill Foslin, Hugo Bradley and Evert Watson.
