- PORT PERRY STAR - ~ Wednesday, Aug Aug. 14, 1974 Happy reunion of family members living thousands of miles apart An interesting and happy re-union of members of a charming family took place Thursday last week at the delightful home of Rev. and Mrs J.C. Grier, R. R. No. 4, Port Perry. Visitors were a son, Dr. W Robson N. Grier and his two voung daughters, Liza 13 and Sarah 8 from New York and a grandson John Robson Ross. and his wife Virginia and two litle sons Robson and Timothy from Frobisher Bay. Mr. Ross is an employ- ee of the Government of Northwest Territories. The Ross family is enjoying a holiday in this area, but will be returning to Frobisher Bay in a week's time. Mr. and Mgs. Grier's home and property is a real show- place located near Chalk Lake. The house is of relat- ively old construction, but : 0 Ruddy Electric Wholesale Ltd. 75 RICHMOND ST. w OSHAWA 725-3539 immaculately kept, surroun- ded by beautiful lawns, trees and profusion of delightful flowers. It was here the family met for this happy occasion that was to break up again the same afternoon when Dr. Grier and daughters were to return to New York to join with Mrs. Grier and four sons who were unable to make the trip this time. When people are living as far apart as the members of the Grier family are, oppor- tunities to meet become very rare. It makes the occasion a great deal more important and pleasant and particular- ly when four generations are able to be present.
