MAAS EA The management of the Flamingo Pastries Junior "C" Hockey Club was very: pleased to announce last week the official signing of Mark Jobb, the teams lead- ing scorer last season, by the' Whitby Knob Hill Farms Junior "A" team of the provincial Junior 'A' league. Mark, who made the big jump last year from the All*Ontario Champion Beare Motor Bantams to the Flam- ingo's, scored 23 goals and had 26 assists for 49 points and was in 8th position in the league statistics. The Port Perry player was one of nine players drafted for the Central Ontario Jr. "C" league by teams in the Junior ""A'"' competition. This shows the calibre of the league for any young hockey player that wishes to continue his hockey endeav- ours. Coach Jack Armstrong & Manager Tom Anthony of the Whitby club scouted Mark last season and are very impressed with his hocky abilities and are look- ing for big things from this young man in the Junior "A" competition. The management of the Flamingo's have been very busy also, the last couple of weeks preparing for the opening of training camp on Thursday, Sept. 19th at 8:00 p.m. in the Uxbridge arena. A large turn out of players is expected, but any player -'who thinks he can make the club is welcome to come out as all positions are up for grabs and the competition should be good.
