Lucky Tina was the winner of the door prize. On Sunday, the Christie's were dinner guests with the Hopkins Family and attend- ed the 125th Anniversary service of Burns Presbyter- -ian Church at Ashburn. Rev. Stewart MacEntyre of St. John's Presbyterian Church Port Perry, was the minister. St. Andrews Choir, Scarborough provided the music. °° . On 'Wednesday evening, October 23, many friends and neighbours of the Munro family were thrilled to see them on the show, 'The Nature of Things". ' The Bethesda-Reach W.I. met at the home of Mrs. C. Robb on Wednesday, Oct. 23. Mr. and Mrs. Hadden and Mr. Armour McMillan were there to show pictures of the - trip they took to Alaska last summer. We realize more how beautiful and extensive this great land of Canada is. It makes us proud to be a citizen. The sewing classes will be held on Wednesday even- ings. We wish to have thrge meetings before Xmas. The first will be held Wednesday, october 31 at the home of Mrs. Dorothy Doble. Mrs. Croxall will have to carry on alone as her assistant Mrs. Underhill had the misfortune to break a bone in her leg and | will be in Uxbridge 'Hospital till Wednesday. We missed Mrs. Wm. MacMillan at the meeting but Pat was having a miser- able time for a few days in Uxbridge Hospital. Our sympathy to another member, Mrs. Nighswander, who lost her husband o Seturday. a To those who are dressing dolls for the Kiwanis. The ~ dolls must be in by Nov. 10th. Mrs. Ashenhurst hopes to be home from her trip to Aust- ralia, October 30th. The W.I. Ladies are pack-. ing a bale of clothes for-the needy and would like donat- ions of good used clothing. These could be brought with _the dolls or to a sewing class (More Tricks Sewing with Kinits - Everyone Welcome). The Epsom Sunday School would like to thank all for their interest and help in re-decorating the Sunday School rooms. There will be a Pot Luck dinner for everyone in the Community, sponsored by . the Sunday School on Sunday November 3 at 7 P.M. in the | re-decorated rooms. We hope you will attend.
