During the candlelight cere- mony conducted by Eleanor Bailey, chapter advisor, each new member promised to uphold the ideals of Beta 'Sigma Phi which are, to search for the good, the true, and the beautiful in all things 3 while pursuing life, learning and friendship--the motto of Beta Sigma Phi. Mr. Dave Brown, the Hos- pital Administrator, was also a guest at the meeting, and he gave a very inform- ative talk onthe Accredit- ation progress for the Hospit- al. Primarily what it means is the Standardization 'of care in the Hospitals, contin- ually looking for ways to improve the quality and care received in Hospitals, both in National and Inter-national standards. Qur Hospital hopes to apply by the latter part of 1974, and perhaps to be accepted by mid 1975. But there are many require- ments yet to be met, one for example is a Medical Lib- rary. Mrs. Irene Lerch is now the new buyer for the Hos- pital Tuck Shop, and we wish Irene good luck in her new position. - - The Doll Draw tickets are now available at the Hospit- al, Emmerson's Insurance, and from the members of the Auxiliary. The draw will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7th, the day of the Santa Claus parade. Mrs. Marj. McDermott- proposed to the meeting that Miss Alma Sammells pro- vide Hairdressing care to the patients at the hospital on Thursdays, and this was readily accepted by all. The Annual meeting will be held at the Municipal Building on Monday, Nov- ember 18th. Mrs. Jennifer be the guest speaker. All welcome. The meeting was closed by all reciting the Mizpah Bene- diction, and a lovely tea was served by Mrs. Edith Brun- ton and Mrs. Win Philip.
