Pa oe "a -- dy a rn CS 28 Twelve members of the Port Perry Legion Ladies Auxiliary enjoyed a social evening with the Uxbridge Ladies Auxiliary in Uxbridge Legion on October 28th. ; Harold Mr. and Mrs. Armitage and Mr. and Mrs. William Hines of Ottawa were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Ireland and family. The Lake Scugog Histori- cal Society presented an autographed copy of the book "Birds of the Oshawa- Lake Scugog Region Ont- ario" to the R. H. Cornish Public School, the Port Perry High School and the Port Perry Public Library. The presentations were made by Mrs. F. D. Slemmon. Nursing Home News An interesting evening was spent Monday, . when Mr. Cavannal showed his slides of his trip throughout Canada. Interesting places such as Jasper, Victoria, Lake Louise, the Thousand Islands, Upper Canada Village were visited by us through the use of his slides. The Hebrew Christian Reform Church of Whitby took the Tuesday evening service. Mrs. S$. Muma, Mrs. P. Pel and Miss J. Mulder made the service more meaningful through their music. A productive Thursday afternoon was spent with Mrs. Stewart in the dining room preparing nine-hund- red Christmas Seal envelopes. Our Thusday night bingo was cancelled due to the visits of many ghosts and goblins. Mr. C. Smith, Mr. G. Christie, Mr. R. Brown, Mrs. M. Phoenix, Mr. Vine, Mrs. Clarke, Mr. and Mrs. L. . Meyers, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. ' Balque, Mr. Sammels and 'Mrs. Percy rewarded the enthusiastic young ones with candy treats. Weekend visits were enjoyed by Mr. Christie, Mrs. Pearcey, Mr. Vine, Mr. Doupe and Mr. Hood.
