The current win streak is now a six games, longest in the clubs short history. On Friday evening, the Flamingos travelled to Sut- ton to play the sixth place Rangers and after a close two periods, opened the game up in the third with four unanswered goals. The banquet and dance was held on October 26th for club members and it was a huge success. This banquet is a yearly event and all club members who help with different events go to it free of charge. Mary Payne Pheasant hunting in Nonquon wildlife area Although there is no sea- son for deer this year in Scugog Township, pheasant hunting is being allowed in the Nonquon Provincial Wildlife area. Pheasant hunting will be allowed within the well ma.ked boundry of the Non- quon Wildlife area until December 14th. The property open to public hunting consists of a well signed area bordering the Nonquon River. It is made up of wooded, wet- lands ranging {rom one half mile wide to one and a half mile long. The area covers about 2,000 acres between the 7th and 11th concessions of the former township of Reach, east of Highway 12. There will be an archery season for deer from October 28 to December 31. This is only within the boundry of Nonquon and is not for hunters with guns. Hunters in the Nonquon area must have either a resident or non-resident hunting licence and have a federal permit if they are hunting waterfowl or other migratory birds. No blinds are supplied and permanent construction of blinds is not permitted. Boats are not supplied but are permitted as long as no motor is used. During the pheasant hunt- ing season, the Ministry of Natural Resources will make a weekly token release of pheasants within the area. Hunting is allowed every day except Sunday. According to the Ministry, the area has abundent wild- life consisting of ducks, geese, woodcock, ruffled grouse, rabbits and deer. Daily bag and possession limits and seasons are all set out in the Migratory Birds Convention Act and the Ont- ario Regulations. Scugog residents can buy their hunting licences at 359 Major Street in Port Perry at the residence of Charles Lown. Cost for a resident licence is three dollars.
