Jnas concert was presented at "Grace" Church. What started with the idea of an hour's program stretched "out to nearly 2 hours to accomodate "all the young talent. It certainly does take Christmas to bring out the best. Each year, we attend and find new faces and new talent. Those whom we've © seen perform before have advanced and developed within the year. The young people are real- ly impressed by T.V. Com- mercials and cleverly inter- spersed the program with their own versions. An Oshawa ratepayer ask- ed that the minutes be placed in all libraries but Oshawa Mayor James Potticary pointed out there are about 20 libraries in the region. Normally the region charges two dollars each for copies of council minutes so the cost of placing free copies in the libraries would be about $80. a month. "Who would read them anyway," wondered Oshawa councillor John Howden. "You would have to be at the meeting to get anything out of them." One member of the press suggested that it would cost too much to expand all the libraries so they could store the agendas from the past few months.
