TO THE PORT PERRY COUNCIL Oh little town of Port Perry, How bright we see you are. : Can you not see the help that's needed Right here, and not afar? God help those merry gentlemen Who sit and think how big their raise will be With n'er a thought for those as fortunate as thee They sit in their chambers grand, and think not about a helping hand, For the young in our own land. God wake up those merry souls, Who seem to have forgotten our young. They need a home to live in too, As well as our old. Our young live in cellars, Some in just a small hole in the wall. Please God, reach out to those gentlemen, make them see, The light, that help is heeded for all.
